To get rid of the cloudy film dampen a microfiber towel using lukewarm water and gently rub the area until the cloudy film is cleared.

Using the plastic spatula lightly scrape off the surface wax.
Using an ice cube to harden the wax drippings is one way to remove wax from hardwood floors with minimal scraping required.
Pat dry with a soft cloth and allow the area to air dry.
You should always remove most if not all the wax on these types of floors about once a year.
Simply hold the ice cube in place on the wax for 30 seconds even if the wax has already cooled.
And i suggest a few brands of wood floor wax that should be readily available in your area.
While waxes vary most contain an emulsion of paraffin or carnauba an extract from brazilian palm trees in a solvent when you apply the wax the solvent evaporates and only the wax coating remains.
Mop the floor with hot water after you ve stripped all the wax then dry the floor with a rag.
If the floor has a v groove work the steel wool into the groove to remove wax from there.
Take care to dry any remaining water as standing water can easily damage the surface of hardwood floors.
If the wax is fresh and still malleable you may need to hold the ice cube for a minute or two.
Instead you want to try to evenly scrape off as much of the top wax as you can to get to what is sticking to your floor.
Lay the bag or towel over the wax.
