Mark the floor where the transition strip is to be located taking care to allow for any required expansion space as specified by the flooring manufacturer. Then press it onto the floor. Apply a 1 4 inch bead of flooring or construction adhesive along the center of the expansion joint. Use construction adhesive if you glue it and 2 inch finish nails if you nail it.

Step 5 press the t molding into the gap firmly ensuring that the top of the molding rests firmly on each floor with no gaps. Step 6 use a damp cloth to remove any excess glue. Loose transition on a teragren floor can be a problem. A seam binder is installed by simply positioning the strip over the seam then driving screws through pre dilled pilot holes in the strip to secure it to the subfloor in the gap between the floors.
