Grouting may seem scary but it doesn t need to be. Then wait 15 30 minutes for the grout to set before wiping off excess grout with water and a grout sponge. Work in a small area at a time roughly a 3 x 3 foot section. Apply the grout to the tiles using a trowel.

Spread the material in sweeping arcs pressing it into the joints to fill them completely. Epoxy grout slightly more expensive than other types but it s effective for tiles that require a high degree of water resistance such as bathroom tiles. Take a damp sponge and make light passes across the tiles diagonally to clean off the excess grout. You should wait another 3 hours before going over the tiles once more.

Push the grout into the joints and compress by wiping over at an angle across the joints. The size of your tiles will determine the size of the trowel to use. Use a hard edged rubber grout float and hold it at a 45 degree angle. For larger tiles you ll need a 10mm or 12mm trowel.

For tiles smaller than 300x300mm you can use an 8mm trowel. Grout haze happens when grout dries on a tile dulling the finish. When tiling a floor be careful to remove excess grout promptly to avoid grout haze. Latex modified sanded cement grout similar to cement grout but with an added degree of water resistance and bonding characteristics which make it great for bathrooms and countertops.
