Use your 1 4 inch notched trowel to spread an even layer of thinset in the area where you will be installing your threshold.
How to install a floor saddle.
Fit a hex wrench into the bolt and turn it counterclockwise by 2 3 rotations.
Unscrew the clamp bolts on the bottom of the saddle.
In addition use the flat side of your trowel to skim coat the back of your marble threshold with an even layer of thinset.
Place a drop of glue into each countersunk hole.
Be sure to take three measurements before you cut.
Also measure the width of the door.
Half saddle transitions are suitable for bridging transitions between two flooring types that are at different levels.
The new door saddle strip has to be cut using these measurements.
Tap one 1 2 inch oak plug into.
Measure the distance between the bottom of the door and the underlying floor.
Place 2 inch screws in the holes and drive them down tight with the cordless gun to secure the saddle to the floor.
Use a measuring tape for this.
Leave a 1 inch gap between the flooring materials if you are installing a saddle that includes a track.
If your saddle has a second bolt unscrew it evenly with the first one so you don t strip the threading.
