How To Install A Heat Mat In A Wooden Vivarium

Heat mat with wooden vivarium help need advice so i was wondering how exactly i am supposed to set up a heat mat with a wooden vivarium as having it on the outside would mean the heat can t get through the wood but at the same time i ve been told not to use heat mats inside vivarium so what exactly am i supposed to do.
